Who is God?
Who is God? What is He like? Six personality traits of God...
He is Knowable.
God, who created the universe in all of its magnitude and creative details, is able to be known, by us. He tells us about himself, but even goes beyond that. He welcomes us into a relationship, so that we personally can get to know him. Not only can we know about him, we can know him, intimately."Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches,
but let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the Lord,
who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight," declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 9:23,24)
He is Approachable.
God invites us to talk to him and engage him in what concerns us. We don't have to get our act together first. Neither do we need to be polite, theologically correct or holy. It is his nature to be loving and accepting when we go to him."The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth." (Psalms 145:18)
He is Creative.
Everything we make is put together with existing materials or built on previous thoughts. God has the capacity of speaking things into existence, not just galaxies and life forms, but solutions to today's problems. God is creative, for us. His power is something he wants us to be aware of and to rely on."Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit." (Psalms 147:5)
"...where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth." (Psalms 121:1,2)
He is Forgiving.
We sin. We tend to do things our way instead of God's way. And he sees it and knows it. God does not merely overlook such sin, but is prepared to judge and condemn people for their sin. However, God is forgiving and will forgive us from the moment we begin a relationship with him. Jesus, the Son of God, paid for our sin with his death on a cross. He rose from the dead and offers us this forgiveness."We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done... We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us." (Romans 3:22,25)
He is Honest.
Just like a person who lets you know their thoughts and feelings, God clearly tells us about himself, the possible difference being, he is always honest. Everything he says about himself, or about us, is reliable information. Truer than our feelings, thoughts, and perception, God is totally accurate and honest in what he says. Every promise he makes to us can be fully counted on, he means it. We can take him at his word."The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path." (Psalms 119:130,105)
He is Capable.
How would you like to be always 100% right, about everything? God is. His wisdom is unlimited. He understands all the elements of a situation, including the history and future events related to it. We do not have to update him, counsel him or persuade him to do the right thing. He will, because he is capable and his motives are pure. If we trust him, he will never make a mistake, never undercut us or deceive us. He can be fully trusted to do what is right, in all circumstances, at all times."No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame..." (Psalms 25:3)
This is who God tells us he is. The following explains how you can begin a relationship with God right now: Knowing God Personally.
South Africa's Zuma discloses personal financial details
President Jacob Zuma has submitted his financial disclosures to Cabinet, the South African presidency said on Wednesday evening.
This is after leader of the newly- founded party
Agang SA Mamphela Ramphele asked Mr Zuma to reveal details about his
personal wealth.
"Members of the national executive of government
should submit their disclosures to the secretary of cabinet who will
maintain a register," said the presidency in a statement.
"The constitution of 1996 and the executive member
ethics in 1998 prescribe the nature, content and form in which members
of the cabinet and executive councils disclose their financial interests
annually," added the statement.
"The president therefore submits his disclosure annually to the secretary of the cabinet.
"It's nothing new. President Zuma has been doing that for years," said the presidency.
Recognising President Zuma for making his private
accounts to the public, the presidency said "the South Africans deserve a
president that sets a good example for the rest of the country to
follow."
It was reported on July 27, 2012, that the South
African president's remuneration would rise from 2.49 million rands
(about $240,000 ) to 2.62 million rands, while that of the deputy
president would increase from 2.24 million rands to 2.36 million rands
with effect from April 1.

Why I Married My Own Biological Mother To Be My Wife
Webpage:
In a sleepy village known as Slovo Park near Siyabuswa, villagers were torn with joy and surprise as they witnessed a rather strange wedding where, a mother and son exchanged wedding vows.
The son, a traditional healer from Siyabuswa in Mpumalanga, said he married his biological mother in a wedding ceremony to appease his ancestors. He now calls his mother “my wife”.
On Sunday more than 2000 people turned up to witness the wedding of Buti Mphethi , 28, to his mother Francinah Makunyane, 62.
Mphethi said that his forefathers had instructed him to pay lobola to his mother’s family before he could marry his wife, who stays separately from her own husband, Buti’s father.
Mphethi paid the lobola of two cows to his mother with a street value of R14 000.
The wedding was arranged and took place at his mother’s home in the same village on Saturday and finished at his home at the weekend.
Mphethi dropped out of his second year studies in sound engineering at the Tshwane University of Technology in 2003 to become a sangoma.
He felt it was a calling from his ancestors.
Mphethi said he had been married before, but it did not work out. His wife left him four years ago.
Mphethi said that his father William Mphethi was still alive, and had four wives. The father stays with the elder wife in Burgersfort, Limpopo.
He was confident that marrying his own mother had been in line with his culture.
Speaking to The New Age, the beaming bride, Makunyane, said she never imagined having a ‘white wedding’ because she was a grown up.
“I am now old enough and getting married was never in my mind. My son really did a good thing to marry me before he can marry his wife.
“This process is part of our culture. I am now a married woman because he represented his father,” she said, before bursting into tears of joy

Chicken Bread - Step by Step
Webpage:
http://www.fauziaskitchenfun.com/
Step 1 - Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Brush some softened butter over it.
PS: Although the recipe doesn't call for it, I normally dab a touch of butter to this to make it ultra-yummy. :)
Ingredients for dough
4 cups all purpose/plain flour
1 tbsp. instant yeast
2 tbsp. powdered milk
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. oil
egg 1 (plus 1 for glazing)
1 tsp. castor sugar
In a bowl mix together 4 cups flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. castor sugar, 2 tbsp. milk powder, 1 tbsp. yeast, 4 tbsp. oil and 1 egg, knead to a medium soft dough with slightly warm water, leave to rise for 1 hour. Divide the dough into two or three depending on how big you want the loaves. Proceed with viewing the subsequent steps to see how the bread is shaped.
Step 2 - Put your filling in the center of the rectangle and make slits on both of the longer sides.
Ingredients for chicken filling
1 ½ to 2 cups chicken boiled and shredded
1 medium or 2 small onion chopped finely
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. coriander leaves
4 chopped green chilies
1 tsp. garam masala powder
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup milk
Sesame seeds as required
Heat 2 tbsp. butter fry onion till soft then add 2 tbsp. flour with 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. black pepper, 1 tsp. garam masala.
Add the milk, cook till thick, mix in the shredded chicken add chopped green chilies and coriander leaves, remove and cool completely.
The filling will look like this: Creamy Chicken Filling
Step 3 - Start bringing the topmost slit ends across from each other alternately.
Step 4 - Keep going, remember to alternate, like a crisscross fashion. Left to right...right to left.
Step 5 -This is how it will look as you get further down the bread with the crossing of the sides/braiding.
Step 6 - When you reach the end, leave a tail at the bottom, just for the appearance. You can just tuck everything neatly in if you like, but I prefer to have that bit of a tail at the bottom of the loaf. :)
Step 7 - Grease a tray and place your breads. The recipe says to make 2 loaves but I prefer dividing it into three and making three average sized loaves. That is up to your preference!
Step 8 - Apply egg-wash and sprinkle the sesame seeds...then bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for about 25 minutes or until done.
(Egg-wash means to beat an egg with a tsp. of water then brush it all over your bread)
Here's a twist to the chicken bread, you can make them in baby size too...this is how they look before baking...
Final result - Voila! Enjoy your delicious chicken bread!!
Right after taking out of the oven apply butter well on whole bread and let it rest covered with a cloth for 2-3 min to soften the bread completely.
TIP: I always make big batches of chicken bread at a go and then wrap them well in cling film or foil, then put them in some sort of a cellophane bag and tie it up tight and freeze. They can keep up to 4 weeks! When you need one, you just thaw it out overnight in the fridge or keep it out on the counter until it's thawed out, then unwrap and zap it in the micro for a minute or so until it warms up, and then splash a little bit of water using your fingertips on it and put it in the oven for about 5 minutes to freshen it back up. Becomes as good as new! :)

love looks by heart not by eyes (must Read)
One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love.
But the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s parents weren’t too happy.
So the young man decided not only to court the girl but to court her
parents as well. In time, the parents saw that he was a good man and was
worthy of their daughter’s hand.
But there was another problem: The
man was a soldier. Soon, war broke out and he was being sent overseas
for a year. The week before he left, the man knelt on his knee and asked
his lady love, “Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes, and
they were engaged. They agreed that when he got back in one year, they
would get married.
But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on collision.
When she woke up in the hospital, she saw her father and mother crying. Immediately, she knew there was something wrong.
She later found out that she suffered brain injury. The part of her
brain that controlled her face muscles was damaged. Her once lovely face
was now disfigured. She cried as she saw herself in the mirror.
“Yesterday, I was beautiful. Today, I’m a monster.” Her body was also
covered with so many ugly wounds.
Right there and then, she decided
to release her fiancĂ© from their promise. She knew he wouldn’t want her
anymore. She would forget about him and never see him again.
For one year, the soldier wrote many letters—but she wouldn’t answer. He
phoned her many times but she wouldn’t return her calls.
But after one year, the mother walked into her room and announced, “He’s back from the war.”
The girl shouted, “No! Please don’t tell him about me. Don’t tell him I’m here!”
The mother said, “He’s getting married,” and handed her a wedding invitation.
The girl’s heart sank. She knew she still loved him—but she had to forget him now.
With great sadness, she opened the wedding invitation.
And then she saw her name on it!
Confused, she asked, “What is this?”
That was when the young man entered her room with a bouquet of flowers. He knelt beside her and asked, “Will you marry me?”
The girl covered her face with her hands and said, “I’m ugly!”
The man said, “Without your permission, your mother sent me your
photos. When I saw your photos, I realized that nothing has changed.
You’re still the person I fell in love. You’re still as beautiful as
ever. Because I love you!”
